Alina Morse (born May 2005) got started due to an incident when she was seven years old. She went to the bank with her dad and the teller offered her a lollipop. While she really wanted to accept, her parents always told her that candy was terrible for her teeth.
So she asked her dad, “Why can’t we make a lollipop that’s actually good for your teeth?” And in that moment the idea for Zollipops® was born!
Together, Alina and her dad set off to make delicious lollipop treats that were actually good for teeth. In 2014, the first Zollipops treat hit the shelves: a delicious, vegan, natural, sugar-free candy. Alina became known as the “Lollipop Girl,” a true Kidpreneur!
Her mother Suzanne formerly worked in sales, and her father Tom was a consultant for Deloitte; all now participate in the company, with Tom working as Alina's manager and handling meetings when she is busy, Suzanne as her coach, schedule organizer, and stylist, and Lola making videos for the company YouTube channel.[2][3] Tom has called working for her one of the most fulfilling things that he has done in his life.[4]
Morse has interest in dance, and participates competitively in ballet, hip-hop, and jazz dance. She balances the company with school work and dance practice; during the summer, she spends more time with the business. The company takes 35 to 40 percent of her time. After graduating high school, Morse intends to go on to college to learn more about running her company.
